Pictures of our Nobler Selves

"Pictures of our Nobler Selves" is a quote from journalist John Rolling Ridge.  He was a Cherokee Indian, born around the time of the Trail of Tears.  He experienced many trials in his youth, but grew up to do some amazing things.  Where we start out in life doesn't matter half as much as where we end up.  Despite the difficulties of his life, Ridge never lost hope that the great heritage of his people and his particular family, would be an example of the good that could come from being part of America.
